Hollywood: new posters for old films
They are all there: Batman and the bats; Captain America and the soldiers; ET on his way home, as was always his intension; as well as King Kong, with his uncontrollable rage on the Empire State Building. This is the In Progress exhibition, which runs until the 23rd February, at the Mondo Gallery, in Austin, Texas. Rob Jones, who is a rock poster designer, challenged some of his colleagues to recreate posters of some of the most iconic Hollywood films. After a tour, where all the posters were sold, the idea developed into what, today, can be found at the Mondo Gallery. If you have the courage to confront the Jurassic Park T-Rex, then dare to have a look at some of the other works.
